- Cloud-hosted document storage and sharing services for wealth professionals
What are the most popular cloud-hosted storage and sharing services?
A cloud-hosted storage service allows files (such as documents, images and presentations) to be shared, accessed and downloaded online from any computer or mobile device.
A great cloud-based storage service benefits your advice business by allowing work to be browser-based, meaning files can be worked on anywhere. Cloud storage also helps to simplify document sharing and collaboration, back up files, and allows for files to be previewed even if you don't have the full software installed (e.g. Adobe Acrobat).
Research from the Netwealth 2022 AdviceTech Report shows that the top 4 suppliers of cloud-hosted storage services used by wealth professionals and financial advisers include: Microsoft OneDrive (40.3 per cent of advice firms), Xplan (28.4 per cent), Sharepoint (25.1 per cent), and Dropbox (19.8 per cent).
